my ipod wont work. i can force it to disk mode but when i try to reset it, my ipod it keeps saying "iTunes has seem to detect an ipod that appears to be corrupted. You may need to restore ipod before it can be used with itunes. you may also try to disconnect and reconnecting the ipod." I tried disconnecting it and reconnecting it and i also tried to hit okay but then the screen that says reset keeps disappearing making it impossible to reset!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you in advance for reading and at least attempting to help me!!

i dont know what you mean by "reset." reset is when you hold the center and menu button for a couple of seconds then the apple logo comes on. restore is when you restore your ipod to factory settings, like when you first bought your ipod so theres nothing in it at all (but itunes music wont go away).

maybe you need to RESET your ipod (as in disconnect it from the computer and reset it) before you can RESTORE it (then connect it to the computer, click on the name of your ipod then click restore)

or you can follow this:

i really hope your ipod works again!!!

What you do, is take the lock button and flick it back and forth two times. Then you press the center button and the menu button and hold them until your iPod screen turns black and a silver apple appears. Now your iPod should be reset and properly working again. If you still have problems, then you may want to go to the Apple iPod website and contact somebody for further help. Good luck!

Do you have your warranty? I would take it to the store they could fix it really fast. Or try calling them. The #'s on their web.
