How do I retreve password for my unlock screen it wont unlock for ipod touch help?

my ipod will not let me unlock at the unlock screen and my new laptop will not let my ipod synce while it is locked!!!! help how do i get to the restore page at itune home

Hold down the power and home keys down for about 10 seconds each while plugged into itunes. When the screen goes black, release the power button but keep holding the home key until itunes says. We have detected an itouch in recovery mode.



From there you can restore as normal via iTunes.

1.Plug the iPod in computer.

2.Go to "My Computer" And click the apporiate drive your your iPod.

3.Change the folder option to "View all hidden files and folders"

4.Navigate to ipod_control

5.Then go to Device

6.Then there is a file there named"_Unlocked"

7.Open that up with a text editor (Notepad) and viola the passcode is right there.

First try connecting it to your computer and syncing it. If that doesnt work you have to reset it by holding down the menu and select button.
