just jailbroke my ipod touch , please tell me where i can download free apps?

Question

i have cydia but am finding it a little confusing . i am interested in music games etc so any apps in relation to these would be good. i have to say i am a little dissapointed with the turn out and cydia might be great but there doesnt seem to be much on it and i would really like some old sega games and nintendo games that i can play on it . nplease if anybody can advise me on it i would be very please and will definately pick a first answer. also if your could explain in simple english coz all that technical stuff confuses me xx

If you've done it with the right custom firmware, then go into the new app Cydia or Installer and then Packages>>Games>>(Choose A Game And Download).



You might have jailbroken with an OpenSSH firmware. This is better cos you can get proper app store apps for free. Go to google and type in Rapidshare library. Search for any app and download it (should be a .ipa file). Then in google search for WInSCP. Yes unfortunately you need a windows pc or mac running on VMWare, Crossover or Bootcamp to run it as it's a .exe file. Jailbreaking is not illegal. Steve jobs even said so in WWDC 2009. Once you have paid for the iPod you can do what you want with it. Once you start downloading costing apps for free, thats when it gets illegal. So next time, know what you're talking about before you say it Answerer 5!

this website has cracked apps but in order to be able to sync them to your iPod you must go into cydia and install mobilepatch(your firmware). You also need at least one free or paid app that you have purchased before in order for this to work.

Dont be disappointed with Cydia. Cydia is an extremely powerful tool for the iTouch. If you want free apps, go input this soure into cydia :cydia.hackulo.us

and download the package called "installous" on installous, you can download ANYTHING on the appstore for free.

As for old NES games and stuff, go to Cydia and search "NES" and you can download the NES payer and the roms.

You sort of need to use google a little bit for this. It is not one formula which app you will like and which one you will not. So, it is best to google, say, best games for iTouch, and look and see if they have them on cydia. that is the best I can tell you. as a side note, keep in mind that jailbreaking is illegal, so you can't expect that much from it.

To get the free apps, go to the Toolbar on the bottom and hit Manage, then hit Sources, Edit, Add....add http://cydia.hackulo.us



Then go to Changes on the bottom toolbar and download Installous, and if you have the 3.0 update, AppSync for 3.0. If you are still on 2.2.1, download the miPatch 2.2.1.



If you want more sources, search for something called All Sources and it will give you all of them.

You gotta get installus. Just go to youtube and type "How to get installus on 3.1.2 ipod touch". I did it with 2.2.1 and all I had to do was add a source to cydia and that was it but you may have to do something else sense your 3.1.2.
