Stereo has 2 channels of audio while mono only has 1. Stereo is far superior

Mono or monophonic describes a system where all the audio signals are mixed together and routed through a single audio channel. Stereo would be a requirement if there is a need to replicate the aural perspective and localization of instruments on a stage or platform, a very common requirement in performing arts centres.

Stereo is full spectrum of sound...the best quality to obtain with all aspects of sound being presented evenly. Mono is mainly used for bass and single speaker setups where you just want to hear..but dont really care about the utmost best quality of sound.

Stereo is better.

Mono one homogenized sound coming out of the speaker, stereo gives you the "surround sound" feel, with different sounds coming out of each speaker. Mono has the same exact sounds coming out of both speakers.
