I have done some recording with a very cheap dynamic mic that plugged into the recording port on my computer(it looks like an aux port). Finally the mic adapter broke(It came with a 1/8 inch male end to fit into the computer, this is the piece I'm referring to). Anyways, I'm looking to upgrade but still spend a small amount of money. For all the sound snobs, you mine as well stop reading because I'm not throwing down thousands. I bought a Lexicon Alpha that I have been plugging my dynamic mic in, but I've decided to invest in a condenser mic(MLX 990) and a Samson S-Phantom 2 Channel 48 volt phantom pack. I plan on running to phantom power pack into the Lexicon Alpha(the Lexicon does not supply ample amounts of power).
My questions are:
What sort of accessories do I need(cables, etc)
How do I go about running the power pack into the Lexicon Alpha(I saw a guy with this set up on Youtube, and he said he really enjoyed it so I figured I would give it a try).
Here are the links to the equipment(I have not yet ordered the mic or phantom power)
