To change iPod name, simply Plug in your iPod. Open iTunes, and then try double clicking on your iPod’s name on the left side under Devices. Then input the right name you want. Done.

When you syn one iPod to other computer, it will probably erase all music on your iPod and replace with the contents of other iTunes library. To keep those music/videos, you might need to use some iPod transfer program, like Tansee iPod Transfer http://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/Tansee-iPod-Transfer.htm

Best luck!

For the name change: once you have the ipod plugged in right click on the name under the devices then it should have it so you can type a new name in.

For the restoring function thing: well, im not sure if it really matters because its the same funtion in itunes but with mine i can put it on both because my mom has i mac and i dont and the ituns does it for you, so, you dont need to do anything for that

1. When you sync it to iTunes, on the side where it says "iPod" or whatever name is in front of it, double click (I think) that and you should be able to rename the iPod.

2. I didn't think it mattered if your on a Mac or Windows system for syncing an iPod? If it does reset it to factory settings and just have her sync all her songs back onto it.

Hey. When you plug in the ipod go to "watshernamesipod" and you can change the name from theirs to yours. As for the mac, on the same page click restore to factory settings and it should be set.
