so today i dropped my ipod in the toilet. i dried it off and tried to get as much water out of the holes as i could. it has some cracks in the screen from dropping it in the past, so i have a bit of water in there. it can turn on and off, but the touch screen is being stubborn. the button on top to turned the screen on/off stopped working for months, but now it's working again. i have it sitting in rice (from a rice pilaf box, without the seasonings and stuff) is there anything else i should do, and how long can i keep it in there? i have faith that it'll start working again since it can be turned on/off. but will the rice pilaf rice work? thanks for the help

Rice or pasta works well. If you have some sylica gel (usually found in a small package in boxes of electronics), use that.

first off, what was it doing near the toilet and i dropped mines in the pool once but it was a quick drop and scoop everything worked except for the speaker after 30 minutes it started working again. I got lucky but some of my friends dropped theirs in water and used rice to solve their problem thats what i suggest
