When u update to 3.0 on ipod touch- What does 'stereo bluetooth' do when you have that? Is it worth 10 dollars?

stereo bluetooth gives you the ability to listen to music or anything via wireless bluetooth headphones. But you have to buy the headphones, and is it worth it? That's up to you

I am very dissapointed in the 3.0 "Bluetooth". I have the sony HBH-IS800 and it works perfectly with my Blackberry Bold. But no volume control or microphone on upgraded iPod Touch. Called Apple and for the first time ever was disappointed in the reply. They could not / would not provide me with a list of compatable stereo bluetooth headsets.

I don't know if it is worth $10...but to me, it was worth getting for free.

have you updated without etting the firmware from apple before? well this is the same.

download the firmware for your device (there are 2 menus, one for regular ipods, one for the ipod touch/iphone)

make sure you know the difference between the 1 gen firmware and 2 gen firmware.



after the download, in itunes, click the "update" button like you normally would to update, but click it while holding "shift". find the firmware in the window, click ok (or whatever the exact button is) and all will be fine.



i did this on my ipod touch 2gen last night, and it worked perfectly...although i am disappointed in the bluetooth...not much you can do with it from what i've seen...you can pair with almost anything (afaik) but it wont do anything without stereo headphones (again, afaik)

I dunno that it's worth the 10 bucks honestly. There's a few other updates as well, but quite frankly? I've installed it on my iphone and am not all that thrilled. Landscape keyboard is nice. Other than that, big yawner.
