Ok so all of a sudden my ipod touch lock button is freaking out! It is fine it isn't like jammed in or anything but it is acting as if it is. It like if i click it on it will go black then to the screen then black again and after a while goes to the slide to power off screen as if i held it down when i didn't. Anyone know what the problem could be? I tried restarting it but that didn't work. :(

Try to slightly bash it on a surface like rubber and this may work by nudging.

If you don't want to or don't feel comfortable doing this then simply don't but it might be worth taking it to a repair shop or if it still is under warranty.

Hope this helps.

Ps. remember not too hard!!!

you should go to the store where you bought it and tell them whats wrong. As long as you didnt do anything wrong to break it, they will fix it for free i think

Restore you iPod. But make sure to back up whatever you have on your iPod with iTunes.

yes, it does happens, mostly with the 2nd gen. you have to press it really hard to lock it, just gotta get used to it.
