Black Screen Ipod Touch Won,t Fix?

Question

Alright so my sister gave me and ipod touch today and so as it says in the title the screen is black,
.whenever i hold both buttons, to attempt to restore it the music will begin to play

i have tried to fully restore the ipod by Connecting the ipod to the computer and Holding both buttons till it shows the restore logo or apple logo but no luck the music in the ipod would still play and then the music will stop when i hold both buttons again. and i can,t seem to shut it off because it won,t let me for some reason the only thing that ipod will do is just play music with a black screen

i have tried google ,youtube ETC and no luck so please if you know the solution to this problem please respond and tell me

try two things, hold the power button and home button for 10 seconds the apple will disappear and once it disappears let go of the power button and keep holding the home button for 7 seconds then let go. If you did this right it will stay dark then connect it to your computer and try a restore.



If you cant do it like that plug it into your computer and do the first step again once you here the sound that its been disconnected then let go of the power button and hold the home button!

If you have an itunes on your computer plug in your ipod and click restore your ipod will restart and will work

Sounds strange! Try going to an apple store. The staff is usually very helpful. They helped me with my iPhone when it had a similar case. :) GOOD LUCK!!
