Audio Interface - Fast Track Solo VS Mbox 3rd Gen?

Question

What's the differences? Strengths and weaknesses? I'm a music student at university and a lot of the work I do is on Pro Tools. I've recently got Pro Tools 11 and I need to invest in an audio interface to use with it. Mostly I will be recording vocals, piano, guitar, the odd dishwasher...
I'm hoping that whichever I buy will last me a long time after I finish university so I want to make sure I get a decent model!

I've narrowed it down to the Avid Fast Track Solo,

Or the Avid Mbox 3rd Generation,

I've heard the quality is much better with the Mbox, and of course it's go an extra I/O channel and a midi input, but is it really worth the money?

The quality's a bit better on the Mbox. However, there are other interfaces that are also pretty decent and better than the Avid Fast Track:

The latter one has a longer name and is therefore more impressive sounding... go for that one
