I do download movies but most movies are incompaitble with windows media player. howx can i play Divx movies?

I do downlaod movies from limewire, but most of the movies are in Divx player, and after completion of movie, it cant be played as it say incompatibel with media player, download from divx website, thu i have downloaded divx player from this website still i cant play. Plz can anyone guide me how to play avi files of divx movies?
