Zune HD Has a better battery life than Ipod touch by 3 hours for music and 2 hours of video. The zune HD has a better Operating system In my opinion than Ipod touch. The Zune HD also is more durable than ipod touch (It never gets fingerprints and scratches on the device). Hopefully This Helped.

The Zune HD is better than the iPod touch. It has a higher battery life because it has an OLED screen which uses less power than an LCD screen which requires a backlight. The Zune HD gives you more memory for the price, so it's the better choice for price.

The Zune HD also has the option to use a Zune Pass. A Zune Pass gives you unlimited music for $15 and you can keep 10 songs as MP3s forever. The music keeps working as long as you pay for the Zune Pass each month.

Even if you pirate music, ZP is a good idea because the ZHD was made to be a music discovery device. You can find new music and artists based on the artists you have in your Zune. With Zune Pass, you can make a Smart DJ playlist that incorporates songs from the Marketplace so you can discover new music. Other features of Zune Pass are Channels, which are self-updating playlists, celebrity playlists, and streaming music from any computer or your Zune.

The Zune is better for ease of use because it is designed to be the best media experience on a portable device. In the main menu, you can pin artists, songs, playlists, apps, movies, videos, and songs to your quickplay list for easy access. You can also play music faster by tapping the play icon next to an album, artist, or playlist.

Battery Life-

Audio:Zune 33hrs(est) Apple 30(est)

Video:Zune 8.5hrs Apple 6hrs

Price:depending on where you go Zune 16gb 168 free shipping and no sales tax

Apple 170 some for 8gb plus shipping and sales tax

Ease of Use:This one i give to the Ipod it is very easy to use and the zune is not far behind it but its alot easier to navigate an ipod

Durability:Zune HD is built to handle alot of abuse while the ipod touch can handle just as much

Final Verdict: for listening to music and watching videos(you know what an mp3 player is supposed to do) Zune HD cannot be beat, however the Ipod touch does pump out alot of apps you will never use again after paying for so on one side you have a perfect media player with all free apps, or a full app player with some poor quality music and video that has a horrible price tag

Zune has better battery life its cheaper and has an OLED screen, HD video output and a better interface compared to an Ipod touch. The touch wifi is faster and has a better browser and a ton of apps. It really depends on what you want I prefer the Zune for an actual media player but if you want a crapload of apps and games than the touch may be for you.

Zune definitely is cheaper and a good battery life and a little more durable (Depends, some people have tough iTouch skins.) The screen is RIDICULOUSLY tough to crack, as well as the shell,(made of Gorilla Glass, with solid steel case is tough.) Ease just depends on the person, if you just want to see a quick menu, go with Zune with all the features of radio, video, music. If you want to have a "Swiss army knife" (having a lot of things to do, play some games to pass the time, that kind of stuff) go with iTouch.

All in all, it always depends on what's its used for. If you just listen while sitting around or walking, maybe relax, go with itouch. if you want something a bit tougher, maybe for exercise (ex: Cross country in different terrain). Go with Zune.

ipod touch is way better in all of those categories except for price. it may be more expensive, but that would be because of the better quality. i didn't know zunes still existed. i thought they were discontinued lol.
