Question:
My ipod nano touch won't turn on or do anything?
?

Just last night, i fully charged my ipod nano (the little one with the touvh screen and i think it is the 6th generation). I woke up this morning, and i tried to turn it on, but it's just a black screen. Also, it won't charge when i plug it in and when plugged into my computer, iTunes does not respond!

Has anybody had something similar to this happen to them? I've tried a lot of stuff, but nothing! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reset the Nano. To reset: press and hold BOTH the sleep button and the volume down button for 10 seconds--the Apple logo should appear. The logo means it is rebooting.

If that fails, see the first link. The next step is to connect it to the computer and try to reset it again. I recommend following the steps in the link.

The last resort is the second link. If you can't get to a logo then your Nano likely needs repair or replacement.

EDIT: Don't use the word "touch". It just confuses people about which iPod you have.

Perhaps it has oddly drained of power throughout the night...try plugging it in to a charger for a few hours and see what happens. If that does not work, then bring it in to an Apple store, they might be able to help you, but if not, you've just got a dead iPod Nano. Much like humans, electronic devices get old and die (stop working) at some point.

Try holding the menu and middle button. Also you can try to charge it somewhere besides iTunes first then plug it into the computer. This use to happen to me all the time & this usually helps.
