REAL iTunes confusion??

I know I post a lot of questions about iTunes, but I can't understand it. The whole thing confuses me... I have all my computer's songs on my iPod now. But when my computer said it was running out of space on its hard drive, I tried deleting some song files. Before syncing my iPod, I UNCHECKED the names of the songs of which their files had just been deleted from my computer's drive. I didn't think this would affect the songs on my iPod as I had unchecked them, but they had disappeared when I looked through my iPod after syncing. IF I buy a "CD+R or CD-R" disc, put all new files on that, and put that in my computer everytime I sync from now on, will it work? And WHY did my files still get deleted when I unchecked them?

Ahhhh!

The reason all those songs probably deleted when you unchecked them is because you probably have the box "only sync checked items" ticked on your itunes. To change this, just plug in your ipod, click on it in the left-hand column. Then you should click on the tab "summary," scroll down to the options section and make sure the box "only sync checked items" is not ticked. This will then ensure that all the songs in your itunes are synchronised to your ipod. However, if you have deleted these songs from your computer then it is likely that you will be told that those particular songs cannot be found therefore cannot be synchronised. I am not sure if just burning them to a cd and then inserting this into the computer will ensure that they are still synchronised to your ipod. Sorry!

the reason is that you don't have set in the summary in your ipod to only sync the checked songs. and the disc shoud work
