Almost all ipods come with an apple 1 year warranty. But I would contact Best Buy and ask an employee there.

The warranty covers manufacturer's defects only. You have to troubleshoot before you can have it repaired and if it is replaced, just so you know, it will be replaced with a refurb of the same model, capacity and generation. You can take it to the Geek Squad but they don't actually repair them. They send them to Apple. So that just makes it take longer than if you have Apple deal with it.
