For Christmas, I need to decide whether I want the new iPod nano (small square one), or the iPod touch. So what are the pros and cons for both?
And also, with the new iPod nano, are you able to download apps?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. :)

I personally own an ipod touch and would recommend that over the nano any day. But that's because I like apps and games, which don't get me wrong, there are apps and games for the nano, but not anywhere near as many as there are for the ipod touch. Another thing to consider is the screen size, 3.5 inches (touch) vs. 2 inches (nano), big difference there. However, if you're only buying it for music, then nano is the way to go. Either way you go, you should consider buying it through pungle.org, they support making a difference when you shop and they recommend a number of stores that carry both the touch and the nano (amazon, newegg, overstock, best buy, walmart, etc). Happy shopping!

The new Ipod nano, in my opinion, is the worst upgrade in Apple history. I mean 150 bucks, C'mon! No, you can't download apps on it, and you can't watch videos or movies either. Go with the touch 100%. With the touch you get, Internet, millions of apps, Movies, two cameras, Facetime, facebook, and much much more. I don't know why anyone would want a new nano, if you price range is 150, then go with the prior gen of nano. It also has a camera, and you can play some games and watch movies. You can buy this on amazon for 120 I think. Oh yeah, and you can't beat the retina display on the touch as well.

The new ipod nano doesn't allow you to download apps. The ipod touch does have apps yet some you need to pay for. If you are going to listen more to music the new ipod nano would be best.Yet if you just want something to use for fun the ipod touch would be great. I think the ipod touch would work best because you can do both play and have your favorite songs together.

Definitely the Ipod Touch. The nano has a really small screen and is probably really easy to lose. I don't think it has any kind of apps or wifi. I had this debate with myself too. I ended up getting the ipod touch for an early christmas present and I LOVE IT!!! it is great for on the go and for use in your house. It also has a camera and you can do facetime too.

not sure about the ipod nano, but I'd say the ipod touch is the way to go. You can download free things from the itunes store, get videos from youtube and put them on your ipod touch, much bigger screen, has speakers so you dont need earphones, you can record stuff using an app it already brings, and so much more.

iPod touch, pay a little bit more & get a whole lot more. I've got one at te age of 14 and it's basically my PC unless I have to to an essay lol. But I can do everything on this facebook, YouTube Internet, and with the 4th gen facetime!!
I haven't got the nano but it would be to fiddley and you'd probably lose it. Your best bet is to go with the touch.
Guess how I answered ;]......iPod Touch! xD
