a more laid out version of the first post
1) Create a (or multiple) play list for iPod A and the other for iPod B
2) Plug in your iPod
3) Go to the Preferences (Mac: iTunes>Preferences) (PC: Edit>Preferences)
4) Click on the iPod Preferences tab
5) instead of "Automatically update all songs and playlists" choose the next one down "Automatically update selected playlists only:"
6) Select your Playlist(s)
7) Disconnect your iPod
8) Repeat 2-7 with the second iPod

i so know what u are talking about i posted a question just like that 1 month ago. Me and my sister also both have ipods. when u put your ipods disc in the computer u name it. SO when it is plugged in it knows which one is which. when it is plugged it it might start to download automatically either let it and wait till its done or stop it by pressing the arrow wheer it says do not disconnect. then click on edit next to file and go to preferences make sure ure ipod is plugged in. then go to preferences and then ipod. there should be a box that says download automatically make sure there is no check in that box. there is another one that says only update checked songs. make sure that one is checked. then go to your library and only check the songs u want on your ipod then when u r ready to put them on go to the ipod icon under the word library and right click it and press update this is how i do and it works so it should for u to let me know if u need additional help

on account which you in simple terms have one song library, you may placed all your songs on a playlist and all of hers besides. Then substitute the settings so as that once you plug on your Ipod it wont right now sync and replace your Ipod with all her songs. Then once you opt for new song placed it on your library, connect your Ipod and once you notice it on the left hand area of your I tunes exhibit screen only click drag and drop the songs you opt to the Ipod. additionally making the playlist is in simple terms an trouble-free way of organizing songs. no rely what each and all the songs(yours and hers) would be on your library.
