How to download songs onto an ipod without using itunes?

We already have frostwire on our computer and want to use that. Can we? Do you have to use limewire instead? Please give directions we don't know what we are doing. Thanks.

once you download the song - (there sould be a file)



go to iTunes and press File > Add file to library

then navigate to the file/s, highlight them and click add.

you won't be able to placed them on your iPod without iTunes. What you will could do is get the songs and placed them into iTunes and then on on your iPod. get carry of and alertness like Limewire (its loose). It sync's the songs into iTunes. and then its purely a remember of draggin and droppin into your iPod. sturdy luck

How to install Sharepod on your computer?





1. After Downloading Sharepod, extract contents of Zip file to your Ipod drive. Your

Ipod should appears as Removable disk in “My Computer” when same connected

to your computer. This process might take few minutes for this version to find

Ipod from your computer hard disk.



2. Go to Sharepod Folder. Double click on Sharepod.exe. If message “Failure to

initialize” appear on your screen, you need to download the Microsoft.NET

Framework 2.0 to run sharepod. Note this program is installed by default under

vista.



Please be careful not to run Sharepod and iTunes simultaneously as iPod might get

out of sync with both software.





Disable iTunes

Ensure Ipod is connected to your computer. Select removable disk in “My Computer”,

Open iTunes if not set as default. Select iPod and click “Settings” and disable option “Open iTunes when Ipod is attached”.

Then, scroll down and uncheck “Options”.

Next step is to “Enable disk use” and click “Apply”.



How to use Sharepod?





After the following configuration, go to file Sharepod and double-click on the below found icon:



The “Playlist on the left of your screen is called the master playlist as it contains all the

musics and files on your Sharepod. Below are listed options to copy file to your computer:

Select desired files and click on “Copy to PC” on top of window.

Copy file from your iPod by dragging selected file into Windows Explorer.

To copy a playlist to your computer, right click on selected playlist and click on

Copy to PC”. This will automatically copied all musics from the file to your computer.







If you want to copy all musics from your iPod to your computer, you just have to

right click on the Master playlist and select “Copy to PC”. This will copy all files

music to your computer.



To browse music from your computer to your iPod, you just have to drag files and folders

from Windows Explorer to Master playlist. Also you can click “Copy to Ipod” button on

classified above options. Sharepod can support MP3 M4a and M4v files. However, WAV

file must be added. What is fantastic with sharepod is that it detects duplication of same

music file so that you don’t copy same tracks twice.



SharePod checks that you dont copy the same tracks multiple times by checking for

tracks currently on the iPod with the same Title, Artist and Album tags.
