I recommend you try this iTunes Backup - iTunes to iTunes transfer software

http://ipod-tool.com/ipod-software/itunes-backup.html

It is an easy to use iTunes utility designed to help you backup/recover/transfer your whole iTunes library and media files. It offers a simple way to keep your iTunes in sync everywhere. You can use it to backup your own iTunes library or synchronize multiple iTunes on different computers. The backed up library file is pretty easy to transfer to other iTunes, and it's easy to manage.

Hope this can help you.

Home sharing will work..i have it on my own computer.

Make sure you both have your computers turned on and iTunes open at the same time. Click on the Home Sharing option on the left hand menu, or if it isn't there, go to Advanced-Turn Off Home Sharing then turn it back on. You only need one itunes account so decide whose you are going to use then enter the email address and password on each. You may have to wait a while for each library to load onto the other computer, then you can view all their files from the option under "Home Sharing" on the left hand option menu. Select the files, click import (bottom right i think) then sync your ipod from the home menu.

Hope this works for you like it did for me :)

It transfers your purchases in the experience that your iPod breaks, you nevertheless have them on your pc. once you plug your iPod in on your pc and itunes opens up click on your ipod sync web page and pass lower than the music tab and decide to sync all music. you should attempt this with some thing on your itunes library.

this is what i did. I connected my ipod to her computer and only put the tv series on *gossip girl* and then you connect your ipod to your computer and transfer the tv series over that way.
