Question:
How do you run a power amp in stereo? And can I run a power amp in stereo as mono into two cabs instead of stereo into just one?

My band just downsized to a 4 piece and now I'm the only guitar player so I was thinking about running 2 cabs on stage but can I run a power amp stereo splitting the signal into two mono signals going to two separate cabs on stage and how would I do so?

To run a power amp in stereo: you need a stereo power amp which will have two outputs - left and right. Connect the left output to a speaker cabinet on the left and the right output to a speaker cabinet on the right. To get a stereo effect each channel needs a different signel - left and right from a stereo effects pedal, modeller or whatever. Splitting a mono signal in two won't produce a stereo effect.

Sorry, but I don't understand the rest of the question.

Stereo is two independent audio channels.

If you are using a two-channel amplifier,

you should be able get what you want from it.

Simply use a Y adapter to send the same signal to both channels of the stereo amplifier.

If at all possible, find a local expert who will help you in person.

You should ask for clearly drawn connection diagrams

for each of the possible ways in which the equipment you have can be used.

It's pretty simple, you attach one speaker to one of the outputs, and connect the other speaker to the other output.

Is this a trick question ?
