4G iPods are great, particularly the colour ones. a couple of my friends have them and the menus carry typical iPod simplicity. Also of note most 4th gen models are pretty new so the batteries are still in decent condition. As a guide price, i recently paid £68 for a 20 gig 3rd gen iPod which needed a new battery. Expect to pay £150-200 for most 4th gens

Well I have a 4th generation iPod. It is good the screen is slightly smaller than that of the video ipod. Personally, I would not pay more than 150 for a used iPod because it could be scratched and I would rather prefer a new iPod nano for 150 over a used iPod.

Apple iPod (20GB, fourth generation)

The good: Click Wheel improves user experience; better battery life; useful firmware enhancements such as multiple On The Go playlists; more bang for the buck.

The bad: Dock, remote control, and carrying case not included (dock is included with the 40GB version).

yea, I recommend them. alot of accessories are made for the 4th Gen, like cases and stuff, so that's always good. I have a 5th Gen, and it scratches way too easy, but it's a 30 gig. balances out, sort of.
