I want to find a good sounding mp3 player that plays FLAC/losseless audio. It doesn't have to be anything special in terms of looks and I don't care about video/images or anything else.
It must be:
- cheap
- plays FLAC
- sounds good

Check out Sandisk's Sansa Clip or Fuze players. Both sound good and offer FLAC support. The Clip is available in 1, 2, 4, and 8GB capacities for between $35 and $99, and the Fuze is available in 2, 4, and 8GB capacities for between $80 and $120. The Fuze also features a micro SD card expansion slot so you can add more memory if you need it.

iRiver and Sandisk have players that support flac. I don't own any of them but check out their reviews at reviews.cnet.com and search for flac mp3 players. The iRiver LPlayer doesn't look to bad: http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-players/iriver-lplayer-8gb-white/4505-6490_7-33108937.html?tag=mncol;lst
Either way, you're looking at a price range of about $70-$150. A good player will usually be pricey.
I'd probably go with this:http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-players/cowon-d2-16gb-black/4505-6490_7-33255955.html?tag=mncol;lst
flac files = more drive space needed.
Good luck
