i have typed my email wrong in the itunes store account on my ipod touch now it wont let me change it?

when it says type in you correct account info it only comes up with the password i can not correct the email address which i typed in wrong

sign out of itunes, then sign back in.

when in itunes, click on the e-mail address you have, then enter your password, then click on edit account info and then change whatever you want.
