See to it if the IE 80 is good. And if it is original. And the IE 80 has good isolation (not the best, but its good). IE 80 is the best of the best in the Sennheiser product line of earphones.

Try Sennheisers, Shures, AKGs, Grados, Beyerdynamics, Etymotics, ATHs, Bose. These are better and some are cheaper (although Bose is expensive). Sennheiser is the most affordable, I think. I own a bunch of Sennheisers (HDs 201, 280 PRO, 428 and 448) and they sound way better than Beats.

So don't buy Beats. Here's why:

Beats are just overpriced fashion accessories. Same goes to Skullcandy, Soul by Ludacris, etc. They're sh^t. I have friends who are audiophiles. I also have friends who are gullible, and they have Beats, Soul by Ludacris and Skullcandy. When we got together to compare our headphones, I compared my Sennheiser HD 280 PRO to a Beats Pro, and the Beats was just blown away. And you won't believe it, my HD 280's worth $99.99 (I bought it at that price) and the Beats Pro is like, $300ish? Its not worth the money.

Oh, and don't tell me that I am cheap/jealous. I have Beats Studio and Pros too, so, yeah I'm not cheap/jealous :)). I already sold my Studios.

Good brands:

Sennheisers, Shures, AKGs, Grados, Beyerdynamics, Etymotics, ATHs, Bose

Piece of Crap brands:

Beats, Soul by Ludacris, Skullcandy, etc. Although there are some exceptions in Skullcandy.

Don't buy off ebay first of all they fake brands like sennheiser. If you want the absolute best in ear headphones get the Klipsch Image S4. They cost 80 and are absolutely amazing. I read how cnet was ranting and raving about how good they are so I went to best buy to try them and have not been dissapointed. Before I bought these I had some 300 ultimate ears and these absolutely blew them out of the water. First of all they were way more comfortable then the ue. They had absolutely amazing bass response and really excel in highs which is a must for rock music which I listen to aswell (same bands to :) ) and the lows are very good plus the noise cancellation is excellent for these small earphones. I don't know how they managed to make the small drivers produce the way they do and the quality for the price but im not gonna complain. Just save the money and get the s4s I promise you wont be dissapointed.

Why are you buying $150 IEM's to use while working out? Buy a cheap pair and use the expensive pair when you're not working out. I actually have the Klipsch s4 like the guy above mentioned. They're good IEM's for the price, but not for working out. They're comfortable and come with a number of ear tips, but it doesn't change the fact that while working out they will fall out of your ears every once in a while. As you sweat this is amplified by ten. They're very light IEMs, and I assume it will be the same for any other IEM, and most aren't as light. Like I said, get something cheap for working out and something expensive for when you're not. The Klipsch s4's that I have aren't my main IEM, they're a backup that i started using for exercising. They're actually better for exercising than most, but it's still pretty bad lol. I got so mad that I just went to walmart and bought a cheap set of sports IEMs that wrap around your ears. The sound quality isn't as good, but it's a tradeoff... and it's a tradeoff that I'd gladly make.

Why not something like this for when you work out: http://www.amazon.com/MEElectronics-M6-BK-Sound-Isolating-Headphones-Players/dp/B0038W0K2K/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1345424256&sr=1-1&keywords=sport+earbuds+for+running I haven't tried them but that brand is pretty good when it comes to low priced IEMs. Sometimes you just need to make a tradeoff when it comes to these kind of things. Heck, I might even buy the $20 black pair in the link I posted. I'm getting sick of these walmart things I'm using to run. Trust me, it's annoying as hell to have IEM's constantly slipping from your ears while you workout.

Sennheiser HD 202 II Professional Headphones (Black) are great for people who want great sound while sitting for long periods of time. Movie buffs, gamers, or music fans will not be disappointed. I would not recommend these headphones for active people, as they are large (obviously since they are over-ear headphones) and the very long cord+cord spool may be inconvenient for walking or jogging around.
