Is it possible to upload songs from your ipod to your computer?

have an old ipod and new computer with itunes recently installed , i cannot access the computer that i initially uploaded all the tunes on my old ipod as it is now broken,i have lots of music on my old ipod and dont want to lose it but would also like to update it and add some more, sorry if this is a really obvious question,how can i do it

An iPod can be synced with only one iTunes account at a time. once you switched to a new iTunes account or a new computer.
