Most DVD are copyright protected, which means you can't just take info from them. What you can do is download a dvd ripper (DVD Shrink). Copy the dvd files to your hard drive. Then convert the video files to ipod format using the Jodix ipod video converter. Click and drag to itunes and watch dvd's on the go. (this is 100% free if you do it this way)
