Best headphones at the market right now?

So me and my husband want to reward ourselves by buying new headphones. What came to our mind was Dr. Dre Beats Solo HD, Dr. Dre Beats Studio and the Audio Technica ATH-M50. My question is which is one of the best headphones out of all those 3. I know I am tempted to buy the Dr. Dre Beats Solo HD because they do look really nice and the sound quality is fantastic BUT I just don't want to buy it on impulse and then finding out that the headphones are not as good as I expected it to be.

The price don't really matter to us. What we just care about is the sound quality and how long they will last.

If it makes it better,we usually listen to dubstep, rock and some foreign music. We rarely listen to rap.

Audio-Technica wins HANDS DOWN. If REAL quality is an issue, please go for REPUTABLE brands only such as B&W, Sennheiser (most affordable), Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Audio-Technica, Etymotic or Beyerdynamic. Things like Klipsch, Sony, Panasonic, JVC and Philips are ONLY "okay-ish" indeed. Please do NOT fall a victim to FASHION ACCESSORIES anymore by buying Sol/Republic, Benetton, a-jays, iFrogz, Marley, Fanny Wang, Razer, Karl Kani, WESC, Turtle, JH, Dr.Dre/Beats/Solo, Ludacris/Soul, Koss, Skullcandy, Lady GaGa, Skullcrushers, Monsters nor Bose, because they are ALL seriously overhyped and overpriced "fashion blingbling gimmicks" with a very poor durability and sound quality, NOTHING else (and those who try to claim they are good do NOT know ANYTHING about QUALITY anyway!), BE THEM FAKE OR NOT!

Panasonic RP-HT21 Lightweight Headphones with XBS Port are the best portable headphones in this price range. Good bass and smooth, natural sound. In fact they would probably still be the best bang for the buck at three times the price. If you can afford more, consider the Sennheiser PX100 for about 40-50 dollars. But if you're on a budget or don't want to worry about losing or breaking a more expensive pair of headphones, these are definitely the ones to get.
