I have recently noticed that although 44100hz wav files are cd quality, 96000hz wav files sound lot crisper and more proffessional. The trouble is i have many thousands of 44100hz wav files that i would like to use in my songs. I know how to change the format of the file, but not how to increase the sound quality, ie. what processes to use to make them sound better. Can anyone help? Please?

There are lots of apps that can do upsampling, but it's probably not worth doing! At best, the software's having to "guess" what the interpolated samples should be, so you'll probably make things worse rather than better. If your 96000 files sound better they were probably sampled at that rate (or higher) to start with.
