I have an old iPod Nano (4GB) and am using iTunes vers. 6. I am thinking of buying the new iPod Nano (8GB) with video capability. Can I continue using iTunes vers. 6 or do I have to upgrade to a higher version.

Also if I upgrde to iTunes Plus do I lose all my existing playlists. If I do, can this be avoided. Please advise what I need to do to avoid this. (Please bear in mind that I am not computer literate).

Many thanks.

You do have to upgrade itunes. But thankfully its a very easy process. If you dont know how to: find it on apple website (its free obviously). The new itunes makes it easier and more straightfoward to sync other content besides music like video, games and photos and yes you keep the same stuff from your old version of itunes.

contemporary version of iTunes is 7.02 extra suitable than possibly your are being asked to acquire firmware to your iPod. and that's an ok ingredient to do. Plug on your Nano and click on it in iTunes, on the precis internet site it permit you to comprehend in case your Nano is up as much as now. If no longer acquire and deploy the replace that's straightforward. Rock On

Yes you do! You have to use the latest Version (or a newer one) that was around when the IPOD was produced.

You can down load it from the Apple website or buy a disk with it on. Ebay sell them for around £1.

Nothing happens to your itunes library when you do the upgrades. So, whenever it asks you to upgrade, go ahead and upgrade. Your songs and playlists wont be touched.

Updating to iTunes 7.5 is very simple,

Just go to this link,

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Click on the button, and then just follow the on screen instructions, iTunes will do all the work, and all your playlists, songs, videos and everything is safe.

Good Luck
