p5: more portable, but really expensive, and lower sound quality than m50

m50: cheaper but sounds better than the p5. not that portable with it's really long cord.

Henri, It seems your preference would be a headset biased towards bass. The only problem with that is depending on the music you listen to a tilt towards bass can get in the way of what the musician intends. If you listen to only one type of music and its is bass heavy then Beats might be just the ticket. Comparing P5s to Beats Pro is comparing apples and oranges. B&W P5 is the stuff of the Beatles studio, major movie soundtracks like Memphis Belle, Lord of the Rings etc. B&W is located on London's fabled Abbey Lane. This brand is in orbit with the finest in the world. The difference between the two? B&W is a professional brand whose reputation is anchored in high achievements in rock and roll music and motion pictures. Beats just came out a few years ago. Beats are commercial, their pedigree is Dr. Dre. Which ever one you think best fits your overall taste in music, then by all means... I hope this helps. Enjoy
