Simple ipod/itunes question? Please help?

My boss asked me to put the songs from his wifes ipod onto his laptop for him but when i plugged it in the song titles are grey and i can right click and copy or move them. Help please? i just want to transfer them all to his computer.

iTunes blocks iPod-to-pc transfer. You need to utilize iPod-to-computer transfer program to help you. I recommend you use Tansee iPod Transfer

You can't transfer songs FROM an ipod, only TO an ipod. You will have to transfer/save a copy of the songs from where they are stored (wife's computer or where ever she plugs in the ipod) onto a usb stick or memory card in order to transfer the songs onto his laptop. But surely it would be in the same household so your boss can do this himself.

You can't transfer music from an ipod into a PC or Mac due to the Apple Music DRM enforcement. The only way to do this is to authenticate your boss' wife's iTunes account on his Laptop's iTunes software. I assume that you do not know her username and/or password....



If you happen to know...not sure why you would... On your boss' computer/laptop, open itunes and go the the iTunes Store. Sign in as your boss' wife. Then look on the upper right menu, you will see some quick links, Click on the one saying Account, In the first screen under computer authorizations, it should tell you how many authorizations you have.



If you have at most 4 authorizations then you can add the laptop/computer with your other accounts. Go to Advanced menu on the itunes application itself and choose authorize. See link for more.... or tell him to do it himself!

In order to protect copyright music, iTunes blocks you from transferring music from iPod back to iTunes.

What you need is a iPod to computer transfer to help you backup all the things on your ipod to your computer. And add them onto your itunes.

You can't copy them from the iPod itself in iTunes. You would have to download an iPod music extractor to do this.

Because your video is muxed video, muxed video converted by iTunes will lost sound, you need another converter to help you convert the video to mp4 video for iPod.
