Whenever I sync my iPod to my computer, and I have lots of music on my iPod, and I delete the music off of my computer, it wipes my iPod clean. Is there ANY way that I can get my iTunes to stop doing that? So I can have more space on my PC, and keep the files on my iPod even after syncing? If you want me to explain better, let me know.

If you are using the latest version of itunes you should have a little panel on the left hand side underneath library, video, podcasts, etc.

once your ipods plugged in, click its little icon on the left-hand side of the window, after that near the bottom of the window there should be some check boxes. one should say "Manually Manage My Music" enable this box. basically what this box does is it disables the Sync Function. if you delete songs from your computer, your ipod should still have it stored on its memory. HOWEVER, when ever you want to add songs from your library to your ipod, you will have to drag and drop the songs into your ipod.

Hope that Helps

Here is a solution. All you need is to get all existing music/videos from your iPod back to your computer and iTunes. Simply use this handy transfer program called Tansee iPod Transfer

http://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/Tansee-iPod-Transfer.htm

Many of my friends are using it for its easy and safe transfer.

With just a few simple clicks, it will help you copy all videos/songs from iPod back to your selected folder on your computer, and then you can easily add those files back to iTunes.

More importantly, this won't overwrite any original files on your iPod. And all song names are preserved.

In this case, all songs/videos (both new and old) are on your iTunes library that you can syn with whenever you wish to without deleting any files.

Here is step-by-step guide on the whole process:

Best luck!

nicely in case you have iTunes, plug your iPod into the laptop so it comes up on iTunes. next click on your iPod icon subject on iTunes so it shows you all the songs and movies on your iPod. next, click on a track or video which you fairly want off of you iPod. Then in basic terms press delete and it will take it off of your iPod for you. i'm hoping I helped you!
