How do i connect my iPod to my new computer?

I have my iPod connected to my old computer, but i just got a new laptop(MacBook Pro) and i was just wondering how could connect it without losing all the info/music on my iPod.

When you plug it in just don't hit snyc to the new mac because it will lose all of its songs saved on it, just hit the ipod and select manually manage ipod and you can move songs to the ipod with out losing them from syncing to that computer

import all the stuff from you ipod to your new mac.
