Ok, the first thing you need is recording software. You can try Audacity (it's free) but, they are still developing it so It changes almost every day. I personally use Pro Tools (it's the best - most of the Pros use it). Then, depending on what software you have and how that software interfaces with your computer, you will either need an ordinary studio condenser microphone and cable or an XLR/1/8" cable if you need to plug it into the computer directly or an XLR/USB cable if your mic needs phantom power and your software can communicate with a USB port which most do. You may or many not need an audio/digital interface to your computer. However, It's a very good idea to get one anyway. Why? Because your computer's sound card is not a music quality sound card. So, Pro Tools for instance, comes with it's own audio/digital USB computer interface and a built in music quality sound card. That's why it's the best. It also comes with drum tracks you can use to compose music with. You can import any standard audio files like WAVE or AIFF into the Regions list in Pro Tools and drag them into a track. So, you can capture/sample any sounds and use them in your recording. For instance, I have Band-in-a-box, and I subscribe to BEATS365 and both of those sources produce wave files for me that I can use in Pro Tools. I can also record sounds from my Roland Keyboard Synthesizer. I can capture streaming audio using Sound Tap and import that into Pro Tools. I can record from my guitar, bass, keyboard, or I can record my singing into a microphone or I can acquire drum or percussion tracks from almost any compatible plug-in software for recording. So, there is really nothing I cannot do. I can even exchange files over the Internet with anyone who has any format of audio files. So, for my money, because I'm serious about my music, I would not fool around with anything except Pro Tools. There really is no substitute.

You will need a USB interface with phantom power for those mics. You can save some money and just get a USB mic but if you are going to buy that mic set, you will need:

you need to purchase the I -pod converter at terrific purchase for the kenwood deck for approximately 50 $ and its basic to place in. it works large I even have one in my truck purely dont flow away the i-pod pluged in 24-7 because of the fact this is going to kill the ipods battery.
