how do i get songs from my old ipod to my new one?

i just got a new ipod for my birthday and every time i try to sync my music from my old ipod to my new one it oly gives me a few of them instead of all of them, and when i try to add some on my own it won't let me.. i dunno what to do HELP!!!

Unfortunately, you can't do it directly from iTunes. You'll need a third party piece of software to pull them from your iPod. There are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve music files and playlists from your iPod. Here are a few:
