ipod touch white screen broken lock button?

the lock button on the ipod touch is not working. im getting a white screen, and there is a password on the device. i know it, but before the white screen it said that it was disabled for something ridiculous like 23 million minutes. how can i restore it to0 its original settings?

Next time you plug in your ipod to your computer, click on the device's name. There will be an option to restore. That is what you want to do.
