Question:
How do I get my iPod music back onto iTunes?
2010-11-16 17:58:39 UTC
After getting a computer virus that forced me to wipe off all of my data off my computer (Windows XP), I have lost all of my iTunes music, but still have it all on my iPod. I have just downloaded iTunes, and I logged into it to find all of my music gone. I figured that some people must have been in a similar situation. I looked up how to transfer my music back to iTunes, and followed the steps as I was told to on various answer sites.
1) Plug in iPod
2) Open up My Computer
3) Click on the iPod icon
4) Go to Tools > Folder Options > select Show hidden files and folders.
After this, a folder titled iPod_Command was supposed to show up. However, after following these directions, it did not appear. What do I do from here? How do I get the iPod_Command to show up, or is there any other way to get my iPod music back to my iTunes?

The same problem happened to me when I changed my computer. And finally this iPod to PC transfer program called Tansee iPod Transfer helped me out. I got it from:

http://ipod-tool.com/ipod-software/ipod-to-pc-transfer.html

The advantage lies in that it utilizes iPod's internal database to display your iPod's files instantly. That means, when you connect your mac iPod to PC, this program will automatically display all music/videos on your iPod. Once click "Copy" button, all files would be copied onto your selected folder on your PC.

I advise you to use it. Really save time.

Wow - does Yahoo have a contest the place they're offering 10 grand to the ten,000th guy or woman to ask this question? it extremely is touching directly to the only sensible clarification for why this comparable question (how do I circulate music from an iPod to a working laptop or computing gadget) is asked by using a number of human beings...regular. purely in case there's a contest for solutions, right here is mine: you would be wanting third occasion utility because of the fact the iPod isn't meant to circulate documents to a working laptop or computing gadget, even one it extremely is "authorized" to connect with.

It won't be a problem if you use AVCWare iPod to iPod/Computer/iTunes Transfer.

It automatically transfers your iPod and iPhone music, video, playlist, photos to computer and iTunes. Backup all your music and video in a couple of clicks. Really makes music and videos sharing pretty simple and enjoyable. Wish this can help and good luck.
