Out of curiosity, where did you find a cassette tape?!?!? :)

Anyway, you just need a cassette player that has record capability, and an aux input for a cd player.

the last time I dubbed a cd to cassette (like 1990 sh) I had a discman that had the headphone to rca cables and ran into an aux port of a portable stereo with an aux port. push play on the cd player, and record on the tape. It was that easy.

It's even easier if you can find a stereo that has both already built in.

you may particularly do it at domicile off your Mac or laptop. All you'll want is a cassette deck, the right cables, and the right application. There are quite a few application strategies, finding on no count number in the journey that your OS is domicile windows or Mac OSX (sorry, i do no longer understand which you employ). do a little Google artwork with keyword phrases: 'Analog conversion to digital', 'previous vinyl', 'previous cassettes to digital', 'previous cassettes to mp3', and so on. There are a minimum of 6-7 classes obtainable. PlusDeck2C isn't too undesirable. some are loose, some are actually not. the undemanding technique is an identical: you play the tape, and your laptop converts it (in genuine time) into an AIFF or WAV record (a reasonably great record). then you drag this into e.g. iTunes, and convert it into an mp3 (once you're an iPod guy or woman) OR burn the AIFF/WAV in the present day to disc with, e.g. Toast or Nero, to make a playable CD. counsel FROM journey: a. Your first few tries may well be disappointing. there is audible tape hiss in the history; or the recording, even after being EQed, could nevertheless sound 'tinny'. only mess around with countless threshold settings in the applying - the greater you test, the greater advantageous the outcomes get. b. some apps grant an audible 'click' on the right of the AIFF or WAV record generated; any stable sound editor can do away with that on the mp3 point (i exploit MP3 Trimmer, very precise.) c. If there is substantial 'tape warp' manifested via 'whistling' on the comprehensive archives, it particularly is totally almost a misplaced reason to generate 'sparkling' mp3s. keep your self the situation and only purchase the album on CD. such as you, I very own some cassettes that are previous - 10 years plus, and a few won't be able to be saved. yet (stable information) I as quickly as switched over a song off a tape that became into 21 years previous - and not making use of a hitch! in case you do no longer want the situation of doing it your self, your Google seek (above) will come approximately countless centers (in case you're united kingdom / US-based) which will try this for a value. i think of, for in hassle-free terms a handful of cassettes, it is not worth it - have a pass at doing it your self; the main you are going to be able to desire to purchase is the cable and the jack. appropriate of success!
