Okay, so my Jack is faulty. The sound keeps going on and off in the left headphone on all pairs of headphones. What I want to know is if it is still under warranty will apple repair broken hardware, even though it is jailbroken since it has nothing to do with software?

Jailbreaking voided the warranty and it is detectable even if undone.

No you can still have it done under warranty what u need to do is hard reset the ipod

hard reset it by holing down the lock/power button for 3sec then with out letting go hold down the square main button hold the two of them for 10-15sec. This will place it in to disk mode now connect to itunes with your cable and it will ask to do a full reinstall .

Same as the old jailbreaks

it is completely undetectability as you are flashing the memory of the ipod so thay will fix it under warranty guaranteed

I know it sounds stupid but have you checked there not fluff from your pocket in side the jack

Sorry wish i could help. I have an IPod touch aswell and I understand how annoying it when something goes wrong with it but because you Jailbroke it, they won't take it back as this voids the warranty. Moreover, if you removed it, they can still somehow detect it.

have you ever tried connecting to their wifi with yet yet another gadget to paintings out if possibly it is their wifi, now not your ipod? If there is something incorrect with their wifi, attempt resetting the router (unplug it, wait some seconds, plug it back in). If now not, I easily have no concept what's incorrect.
