Alright, theres a movie on this computer that I tried to put onto my ipod. I'm at a friends house, and I wanted to add the movie without syncinc my ipod to his itunes. I couldn't find out how, and my friends like "maybe you can just access the ipod through My Computer and drag and drop the movie". So I tried. Now, the movie isn't anywhere on the ipod that I can see, but I know it's added, because iTunes now says I have 2.38 GB of memory in "other", which I didn't have before.

Does anybody know how I can get rid of the memory I just took up trying to put on this movie? My ipod is an 8 GB Nano 4th gen by the way. Thanks in advance.

You should make sure the video is MP4 or H2.64 video or MP3 audio for iPod. Here is a step by step guide about converting DVD, Videos, Flash and Youtube videos to iPod

You can only get the movie onto the ipod so you can watch it using iTunes. If you want to take media from multiple computers, turn on ''manually manage my music/videos" from the ipods settings within iTunes. This will erase it initially however.

By dragging a file onto the ipod from My Computer, your just using it like a memory stick/hdd. Just go to the same place you dragged it to and delete it.

look this will not work with ipod touch but with all other ipods. go to computer like were a flash drive will pop up then you can figure out what happens you have to find the ipod. [[[BUT FIRST OFF YOU HAVE TO TAKE HIDDEN FOLDERS FOR THE MUSIC FOLDERS TO POP UP FROM THE IPOD TO YOUR COMPUTER]]] So the hidden music folders will show up as F11 F12 or so on.. then you will see weird **** named but they are music files. it will look like AFRG.mp3 just four letter combinations then transfer those music files to your computer MAINLY YOUR music folder where your iTunes folder is then when you play them from the folder they will pop up and play on iTunes and register wil the correct name. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON DUMBASS ****** PROGRAMS THEY DO NOT WORK.

Have you tried syncing your iPod to YOUR computer? As I understand it, what isn't in iTunes will be removed from your iPod upon syncing.
