How can I transfer music from my old iPod to New iPod?

I have a classic video iPod, and am thinking about buying a new iPod nano 5th generation.
I have about 1,375 songs on my current Ipod, about 22 videos, and over 200 photos on it.
I downloaded most of my songs from my old computer that crashed.
I haven't a clue on how I am going to download everything from scratch!!
I have no patience, or money. lol.
I was wondering if there is any way to transfer everything from my old iPod, to the new one I plan on buying.
Note: I only plan to buy it, if I can transfer everything I already have from my old iPod to it.
Also, if there is a way to do such a thing, will it work for the new iPod nano 5th generation? Or will it only work for older models?
Thanks so much for your help!!!

hmm....what broke on the old compy? is your hard drive salvageable?

my computer exploded (literally) a few months ago, but the hard drive survived. so i bought a hard drive enclosure kit (30-50 dollars depending on whether you have a laptop or a desktop size). popped my hard drive in and transferred my files to the new computer the same way you use a usb....easy :)

even if the hard drive is infected, you may be able to only open the folder with your music, copy and paste it to the new computer and do a virus scan before you open it. also, there are free programs online that piece together broken info on hard drives. the kit might be your answer.

Obviously, you can't directly connect one iPod to another to do what you want...There is a program called ipod2ipod which will allow you to hook up two ipods to a host computer and have the music in one copied to the other...
