So last week I decided to buy Beats solo 2.0 just to have some Beats lol I own some top quality headphones "ATH m-50x", "sennheiser momentum", "Beyerdynamic DT 770". These are all top quality headphones. They all sound amazing. So anyways I've read online how much people hate on Beats. On yahoo answers everyone bashes on them. So do people on youtube. What i dont understand is whyyyyyyy!? The Beats Solo 2.0 are quite impressive. They sound good. Sure they're expensive but they sound good! Definitely better than ATH m-50x. The beats solo 2.0 sound like a $150.00 headphone. They are overpriced by 50 dollars in my opinion. BUT they sound good. They're not just fashion toys. Why the hate?

People talk them down because the headphones are grossly over-rated to the point of being a scam on the buying public. They are a fashion accessory that has a sound that is impressive to those people who have never experienced a truly good pair of headphones. Then add the insane price, and they are a massive rip-off.

True, good headphones do not need endorsements by celebrities to sell. The best headphones are often the ones that receive no advertising and are sold at a much more affordable price.

It's the perceived notion that they sound good because of the price. The same reason why some will think bottled water is better than tap water. Even though bottling companies use the same source.

They use TV's, Movies, athletes, artists and actors to sell their headphones. That is what mostly you are paying for. Marketing.

Kind of like Nike's aren't really the most comfortable, or the best shoes around, but since so many athletes endorse them (because they get paid by Nike millions of dollars in contracts) then it must be better than the others out there.

For the same reason iPhone and Android people scrap it out, at the end of the day, anyone who goes at you for liking beats audio quality is an ***, it's that simple, who cares what you like, it's your opinion. And since beats are expensive other people wanna degrade you by always spouting that you overpaid and that something you sunk money into is crap. Honestly it's 99% people wanting to feel like the smartest person in the room, 1% someone who will have an honest conversation about headphones. And before anyone says it, i own plenty of headphones from several brands that aren't beats.

To be Perfectly Honest, it's Not really the Headphones or Headsets. They Are Good - BUT:

It's the Reputation and Image of Beats that KILLS them!!

You may have found a Good Set, for a Competitive Price.

But Most of the Beats Headphones and Headsets are Over-Priced for what you Get.

Most of them are NOT Competitive in Sound-Quality, unless you Compare them to cheaper Headsets/Headphones.

*BUT - HERE'S THE TRUTH*

Beat's Audio SUCK in Laptops!! They don't sound as good as say, Harmon Kardon speakers found on high-end Toshiba Laptops.

Not only THAT - BUT the Beat's Premium Audio found in Chrysler Vehicles is JUST AS BAD!!

As much as I don't like Bose sound systems found in some GM Vehicles, the Bose systems are BETTER.

-->Beat's is a BRAND. They Strive for a reputation based on Marketing and Endorsement Headsets and Earbuds.

But they KILL They're Reputation by Diversifying so Poorly!!

THINK ABOUT THIS: If Harmon Kardon started making Sound Systems for Cars that were No Better than a middle-of-the-road System, People would 'Hate' on them too! But - They Don't!

If they're Laptop Speakers sounded like any other, YOU BET they are going to get FLACK for it!!

Beats Audio has a Reputation for Disappointment. Salesmenship DOES THAT when the Products they sell don't hold-up to they're Promise.

*The Best Comparison to Beats Audio, is Mercedes: It's a Brand that Meant to be about Quality, but they turn the Cheek when they bring it too Market.

This doesn't mean that ALL Beats Products are crap. Some are Great!

It's just means, that if you buy one of they're Products, you are Likely to be Disappointed.

Remember THIS: A Brand that is Dependent on 'Luck' is not a Brand of Trust. ;^) #Don'tBeSold.

They are overly rated, overly expensive, overly sold headphones. The thing is there is a point where the human ear cant tell the difference between sound. And they aren't that comfortable. They probably make each beat for 10$ in some factory anyway.

The Beats are overly hyped. Obviously, some of you are not very audio inclined. The Beats are okay, but once you figure in the cost and the durability - forgetaboutit. The quality of the Beats is equivalent to some of the lower priced ear buds and over the ears made by other brands.

Now, I like Bose. And for my lower end prices, but with still some nice quality - Sony.

BEATS are the new kid on the block. They get no respect from the crowd that has been around and no something about music. Reason being, they bias the sound with to much bass. Clearly, not what was intended by all artists. However, Beats are now under the ownership of Apple. If anyone can rehabilitate and improve acceptance to monied music lovers and audiophiles alike, it would be the attention to detail from Apple.

My Sony ear buds have the same sound quality as a pair of beats headphones, and cost $19.99. The beats cost $249.99.

They are overpriced crap.

With the similar reason i phone along with Operating system people small bit the idea out and about, by the end on the morning, any person who moves from you with regard to preference surpasses audio quality can be an ***, it can be that easy, who loves you whatever you just like, it can be ones view. As well as given that surpasses are costly people wanna decay you through generally spouting you overpaid and this one thing you sunk funds straight into is stool. Genuinely it can be 99% people wanting to feel like your most clever person within the bedroom, 1% a person that will produce an honest talk regarding earphones. As well as previous to any person says the idea, when i unique lots of earphones by various models that usually are not surpasses.

Because they are outperformed by brands at less than half the cost. Example: AKG models selling for $100-$150 have been shown to be superior in terms of distortion, frequency response, sensitivity and load loss.

It's a branded rip-off. But it's funny to see people buying and using them.

Just to add to that, it is the people that use them. You just never see a good person that uses Beats. Somehow it attracts the lowest scum of the earth people. No style no taste and will throw you under the bus if they could.
2014-11-21 12:12:20 UTC
I think people are just disgusted by the price. From owning beats myself, i could say they are the best invention ever made. They work fantastically and would highly recommend if you are looking for a pricey headset that works well

You may think they sound good, but that is not the opinion of the vast majority of audio professionals. Beats are for children with more money than good sense who think that all music consists of loose, muddy bass.

i think its because they are way overpriced and are not very durable or longlasting they start following apart after a few months also because people are insecure about what they have so they bash beats to make themselves feel better about their headphones

Because they deserve to be hated.

They are common, cheaply-made junk with a celebrity name added-on

in order to (sort of) justify an immense selling price.

Because they are jealous that we make enough money to buy whatever we want. I am lucky to have a good job to buy these over price accessories.
