How to arrange the order in which songs play on iPod shuffle?

I have a 4th generation iPod shuffle, and when I turn it on, it plays songs in a random order. Is there any way I can get them to play in the order I want it to?

to listen songs in alphabetical order:

plug in ipod to itunes > click 'music' tab in your ipod shuffle > click "name" among the tabs, name, time, artist, album by artist etc in the top horizontal bar > now the songs are arranged in alphabetical order > eject ipod shuffle > put it in unshuffle mode (the small sliding button should be between 'off' and 'shuffle') > then play> DONE!



to browse with artists: repeat the same actions above with "click 'artist' tab instead if 'name' " in second step.



if you wanna shuffle, slide it to shuffle. ENJOY!

If you want to hear certain songs, just make a playlist. They're really easy to make and you can put those on shuffle too if you want. If you want to hear a song again, just hit the back button.
