I just got a new MacBook Pro for college. I want to transfer all my songs to my laptop so I can update my ipod from this computer. I used the home sharing thing to get all my songs on here but when I plug my ipod in to my laptop it wants me to erase everything on my ipod. I want to transfer all my playlists and apps as well. Right now my purchased playlist on my new computer is blank. How do I make my new computer my ipod's new computer?

I recommend an iPod to Computer transfer to you.

It can transfer all your iPod files including iPod music, video, photo, apps, podcast, tv shows to your computer easily and fast even for new users.

To get all stuff from your iPod to your mac and iTunes, I recommend you use imacsoft iPod to Mac Transfer.

I've used it since I got my new mac laptop. It is an excellent iPod to mac transfer tool. It can fast transfer, rip, copy and manage your music, videos, photos, podcasts and TV Shows between iPod/iPhone and Mac and add them to your local iTunes library.

You will find it helpful. Good luck!

Authorize your new laptop in iTunes and it will probably let you move over your downloaded and purchased stuff right away. I'm not too sure about the playlists though, you may have to remake them.
