Should I buy a Macbook? (Apples latest one) with ipod touch deal?

I'm about to go to college and i need a laptop. I saw this great offer at apple where you buy a macbook and get a free ipod touch! i was wondering, because i am a windows guy, if i can do gaming on macbook through BootCamp and if it would run the same as on a regular windows system. I will probably find myself using the Windows more then Mac, since almost everything i know is in windows. The only thing im interested in is the ipod touch! and it will save me tons of money because i need a new mp3 player anyways, ( i lost my ipod 30g black last year :( ) but yeah, tell me what i should do!

Ya, if you're serious about switching, Id say go for it. I bought a new laptop last year and took advantage of the free ipod deal.

As long as you're using bootcamp, you can essentially turn the mac into a fully fleged windows machine, though given the integrated graphics on the macbook, I wouldn't count on being able to run really graphic intensive games.



Considering you said you would most likely be using the windows portion more than mac, it would seem to me that the more sensible thing to do is to get a windows laptop, then spend the extra money on the touch, all in all it should come out to about the same price as the macbook, if not less.



And one thing to keep in mind is that the touch is free AFTER a rebate.

If you're "only interested" in the ipod touch then you should just invest your money in that. There's no need in paying for both, even if it's a better deal, you'll still save money just buying the touch. Now if was buy an ipod touch at regular price and get a macbook free, it'd be worth it because then you're not paying any extra money for something you may not use.



Have you checked out ebay for an ipod touch?
